Genesis 15:4-6

4 Then behold, the word of the LORD came to him, saying, ``This man will not be your heir; but one who will come forth from your own body, he shall be your heir."

5 And He took him outside and said, ``Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them." And He said to him, ``So shall your descendants be."

6 Then he believed in the LORD; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness.

Genesis 12:1-3

1 Now the LORD said to Abram, ``Go forth from your country, And from your relatives And from your father's house, To the land which I will show you;

Nehemiah 6:15-16

15 So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of the month Elul, in fifty-two days.

16 When all our enemies heard of it, and all the nations surrounding us saw it, they lost their confidence; for they recognized that this work had been accomplished with the help of our God.

Nehemiah 13:6-7

6 But during all this time I was not in Jerusalem, for in the thirty-second year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon I had gone to the king. After some time, however, I asked leave from the king,

7 and I came to Jerusalem and learned about the evil that Eliashib had done for Tobiah, by preparing a room for him in the courts of the house of God.

Nehemiah 1:4-11

4 When I heard these words, I sat down and wept and mourned for days; and I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.

5 I said, ``I beseech You, O LORD God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who preserves the covenant and lovingkindness for those who love Him and keep His commandments,

6 let Your ear now be attentive and Your eyes open to hear the prayer of Your servant which I am praying before You now, day and night, on behalf of the sons of Israel Your servants, confessing the sins of the sons of Israel which we have sinned against You; I and my father's house have sinned.

7 ``We have acted very corruptly against You and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the ordinances which You commanded Your servant Moses.

8 ``Remember the word which You commanded…

Proverbs 16:9

9 The mind of man plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.

Psalm 27:14

14 Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD.

No one likes to wait, but have you ever wondered why? Perhaps it’s because delays show us that we are not in control. Someone or something else is calling the shots. Although we may be able to identify the immediate cause—like a traffic light or the long checkout line—ultimately the One who controls all our delays is the Lord. He is sovereign over everything in heaven and on earth; our time and schedules are in His hands.

This means that in every delay, we are actually waiting for God in some way. You might have thought that the expression “waiting upon the Lord” applies only to seeking His guidance or an answer to prayer.…

Isaiah 41:10-13

10 `Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'

11 ``Behold, all those who are angered at you will be shamed and dishonored; Those who contend with you will be as nothing and will perish.

12 ``You will seek those who quarrel with you, but will not find them, Those who war with you will be as nothing and non-existent.

13 ``For I am the LORD your God, who upholds your right hand, Who says to you, `Do not fear, I will help you.'

At some point, everyone experiences anxiety, but the good news is that we don’t have to become imprisoned by it. Christians have tools and a Helper to break that kind of bondage.

God, thank you that you know me and you know my anxious thoughts. When I don’t understand why I feel the way I feel I can trust in your unchanging nature. Thank you that you are the same God and you will always be walking with me. Teach me how to see you as I walk through valleys and over mountains. I want to live for you consistently.

Psalm 91:1-10

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say to the LORD, ``My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!"

3 For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper And from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.

5 You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day;

Lord. Help me to remove fear and worry form my day to day. I saw fun fact today about worry: that any emotional toll we face is supposed to last max 20 mins and the rest of the time it dictates our thought we are overthinking. I do not fully believe this of course but I am willing to give these worries to God that I have spent years dwelling on. I pray he dictates my thought instead of dog what I am going to do tomorrow next week or even next month. Help me to be present and please release these paralyzing spirits from my mind. Amen.

2 Timothy 4:1-5

1 I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:

2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,

4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

5 But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

Ephesians 5:15-17

15 Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise,

16 making the most of your time, because the days are evil.

17 So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Ephesians 2:10

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

Proverbs 9:7-12

7 He who corrects a scoffer gets dishonor for himself, And he who reproves a wicked man gets insults for himself.

8 Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you, Reprove a wise man and he will love you.

9 Give instruction to a wise man and he will be still wiser, Teach a righteous man and he will increase his learning.

10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

11 For by me your days will be multiplied, And years of life will be added to you.

Colossians 3:15-17

15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.

16 Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Many Christians believe a sense of peace is a sign that they’re following God’s will. But sometimes tranquility is actually due to us feeling satisfied about a choice we have made. How can we tell the difference?

Today’s passage talks about letting “the peace of Christ rule in your hearts” (v. 15). This kind of settledness originates from Jesus. The word peace means to be bound or woven together in harmony and oneness. So to have God’s peace about a matter means your decision must be aligned with His will. The only way…

Lord, help me to let the peace Christ rule my heart, and help me to let the word of Christ dwell richly within me. Help me to not beleve a sense of peace is a sign that I'm following God's will, and help me to read your word more often so I can know if the peace is of God or of man. Thank you for loving me so much that you gave your son to save me, amen🙏

Psalm 25:12

12 Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose.

Luke 18:1-8

1 Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not to lose heart,

2 saying, ``In a certain city there was a judge who did not fear God and did not respect man.

3 ``There was a widow in that city, and she kept coming to him, saying, `Give me legal protection from my opponent.'

Philippians 4:10-13

10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last you have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned before, but you lacked opportunity.

11 Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.

12 I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.

13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

We usually associate contentment with good times—and if something goes wrong, our satisfaction vanishes. But that’s not what today’s passage is talking about. Paul learned to be content regardless of his conditions. This is wonderful news for us because it means we aren’t at the mercy of our…
