No More

So I decided to do talk about the devotion we, the KidzAblaze team, did Friday the 20th. In this devotional, it talked about how we have to love when we are hurt, and that there will be new life with the Lord. This is a devotion that I think I can really relate to, and I would think many people would relate to as well.

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more. There will be no mourning, crying, or pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

Revelation 21:4 (CEB)

FORGIVE

Forgiveness is something that is hard to say out loud. It’s something no one really wants to use ( especially if it’s siblings ). In my experience, I can get so mad or sad that I don’t think I can forgive anyone. That’s when I turn to the Lord because I know he will forgive me and help me to forgive others. In the devotion it says, “Dear Lord, give me the strength to love, even when it hurts.” I think this ties into what I’m saying about forgiveness, because you have to love to really actually forgive.

SUFFERING

We all have had suffering in our lives. Maybe a loved one died, or maybe a pet. Maybe you lost your favorite sock or didn’t get the flavor of ice cream you wanted.

There is a quote they put in the devotion, and it talks about pain. “Sometimes in our lives, we all have pain, we all have sorrow. But if we are wise, we know that there’s always tomorrow.” I like this quote, because it shows us not to quit or give up just because of pain we have been through. You don’t need to give up!

Of all I have just said, I need you to remember: forgiveness isn’t something you can run from and pain doesn’t mean you should quit.
