Bring your gifts
Here on the team, we love to take personality tests. It helps us identify who we are in Christ and helps us better understand each other. On most personality tests, there will be a strengths and weaknesses section. They will list your strengths, which are the good things that come easily to you. Then, they will list your weaknesses, which typically people are less excited about. These are good to know, because it shows you what people with your personality struggle with. Some people are great at things, and others are not. God made us that way! In the same way, we each have God given gifts that we can bring to the table to use for God‘s glory.
Romans 11:29 tells us that God‘s gift and call are irrevocable, which means they can not be changed. The gift that God has given you is not meant to be hidden from the light. That definitely does not mean that you have to be in the spotlight or on the football field to serve God. He uses you wherever you are. In sports, music, art, education, or in whatever you do! He will place you in the right spot if you let The Spirit be your guide. He can use you if you are willing. Here is a simple reminder that you have a great purpose and a gift. God says that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. You may not know what your gifts are yet, but they are there. We serve a wonderful God who works all things together for good at the right time. So trust him and don’t be afraid to try new things. He will reveal to you your gifts. Bring forth what you have to advance the Kingdom of God!
